Calculate price for Labor on transaction line
company_netsuite_logo.jpg

Problem:

Need to Calculate Retainage Fee based on Retainage % and Sales Order subTotal

Solution:

Calculate a price for “Labor” on transactions line items. Multiplies the Time of Labor on the item record by the Hourly Rate on the form by the Quantity on the item-line level. The result is shown when the User enters the “Labor” service item on a transaction. This will not include checks to ensure that the User has entered the correct “Labor” item. User will need to be able to change the Hourly Rate on any form and have the Labor recalculate.

Forms: Opportunity, Estimate, Sales Order, and Invoice

Time of Labor – on the item record, this field contains the number of hours of Labor associated with this item. This Item Field will be in increments of 0.25 hours.

Hourly Rate – on the Opportunity, Estimate, Sales Order, and Invoice. This Transaction Body Field contains the rate of labor in dollars.

Include Labor – a checkbox on the Opportunity, Estimate, Sales Order and Invoice. This Transaction Column Field if checked will include the item in the Labor calculation.
